I read on Hot Coupon World about Food Lion doing a "Close Out" on some Olay body wash.
I really happen to like Olay, both bar and body wash so I was excited. About 2 or 3 weeks ago some $2 Olay coupons came out in the paper. Since I knew this was something I really like and is NOT cheap I decided to acquire 20 coupons plus I had gotten 6 papers that week (good coupon week). I had read the close out price was $1.99 for the Olay Ribbons.

I went to 2 Food Lions today on my way home from running an errand. I really needed the milk and I need chips for Thanksgiving day. I happen to remember the Olay deal right before I checked out.

At the first Food Lion I bought
3 Wise Chips on sale for $2.50 each (used$2 off any wise snack food coupons)
2 Gallons FL Milk for $3.09 each
9 Olay Botanical Body Wash Close out price $2.09 (used $2 Olay coupons)
Paid with a $4 glade catalina
Total came to $6.24 and I also got 2 more milk tickets (buy 1 gallons of milk get a milk ticket Collect 6 milk tickets get a free gallon-plus a milk ticket on the free one too!)

Went to second Food Lion
1 gallon of Milk
12 Olay Botanical Body wash $2.09 each (used $2 olay coupons)
1 Kit cat on sale bogo (used a $.25Q)
Gave my 6 Milk tickets
Total came to $2.84 ($1.55 of which was tax) and I received a Milk ticket

The Olay was actually more expensive than had been reported on HCW (Food Lions are in a lot of southern states with different pricing), I paid $.10 more than the price that was posted, but to me $.09 is a good price for this soap.

I went to CVS. This can be confusing for some. I will admit, when I first started my money saving quest, I tried to do CVS and I just was trying to take on too much at once and I had a hard time grasping it. I gave up for a few months until I got everything else down and then revisited the CVS, well once you get it YOU GET IT! It does take a lot of math, you definitely need a calculator. Also Hot Coupon World is SOOOO Helpful on this. Before I left the house today I checked the CVS thread and found something else I had overlooked. The free after ECB item this week is a $15.99 item! Plus I had gotten a coupon in the paper for it a few weeks back and I also had gotten a CVS coupon for it when I went and got batteries earlier this week. Sometimes when you go to CVS if you buy something VERY Small (like the cheapest thing) you will get a bunch of coupons on your receipt. Here is what I got, in 3 different orders. I will try and explain it the best I can an try not to loose anyone.

First let me say, I already had $15 ECB from buying batteries earlier in the week (that deal is buy $20 worth of Duracell batteries get $15 ECB)

Transaction #1
1 Loreal Vitalift Tinted Moisturizer $15.99 (I used $1 off any Loreal Moisturizer and a $3/$15 face purchase CRT that I received earlier this week on my receipt from batteries)
1 Blade body wash $3.50 (save $1 automatically)
I used my $15 ECB to pay
total $.05 YES A NICKEL!
I received $15.99 ECB (loreal) and a $1 ECB (Blade)

Transaction #2
2 Glade Jar Candles -$2.50 each ($1 IP for each)
2 Glade Jar Candles -$2.50 each ($1.50/2Q)
1 Glade Apple scented oil with free plug in $2.99
1 Glade Plug In Fan $7.99 (Free when you buy scented oil refill Q)
3 Glade refill candle $3.59 each (buy 2 get 1 free coupon)
Used my $16.99 in ECB
Total oop $.78
Received $15 for the buying $30 worth of glade (for every $10 you spend in glade you get $5 ECB limit 5)

Transaction #3
1 4ct 9 Volt Duracell Batteries $9.99($.75Q)
1 16pk AA Duracell Batteries $9.99 ($.50Q)
Used $15 ECB
Total OOP $4.07
I received $15 back for the Batteries(I had $1.27 from Sunday towards my $20 for this deal)

11/20

I didn't feel like going anywhere but we needed milk so I went to Food Lion so I could use my $4 catalina and also earn a milk ticket PLUS it is $.50 cheaper than Harris Teeter across the street.

1 gallon milk $3.09
2 Sierra Mist 2ltrs $1.25 (bogo coupon)
Used $4 catalina from Glade purchases
Total saved $5.25
Total OOP $.57
I got another Milk Ticket, and when you get 6 milk tickets you get a free gallon of milk! I am 2 tickets away, and I have one more $4 catalina left, so I will end up getting 5 gallons of milk for free (after my 5 $4 catalinas) I will pay for the 6th one and then use those milk tokens to get a free gallon! So for the price of ONE gallon I will get 7!

Food Lion, Harris Teeters and Five Guys

Since I received my 60 excederin coupons in the mail yesterday I decided I would go out today, the last day of the sale to find all my excederin to get my $30 off. I got over 30 of them today and just as I was buying my last bunch my card stopped working. My son was using my card also and I had reached my 5 times in one day limit. Needless to say I was NOT happy. I did find some pumpkins to buy for my pumpkin rebate. Those little suckers were hard to find. I found them at one store that appeared to have gotten EVERYONES shipment!

I also went to Food Lion looking for a few things. I found the free razor blades (That are also on sale this next week too) and I will go back for the actual razors so I have something to put them into.

CVS $25 gift card with a New or Transfered RX

Today (Sunday) in the Charlotte Observer there is a coupon for a $25 gift card when you transfer or bring in a new RX to be filled. This has been reported in several papers across the US too. Lucky for me I got 6 papers today, and I didn't even realize the coupon was there until this evening when I read it on hotcouponworld.com.

I have 2-3 prescriptions each month (Asthma), and husband does Allegra D every day too...so right there that is 3-4 Rx a month! Woo hooo!

I already have it planned out. I am going to fill one RX tomorrow at Cvs (I was holding it hoping I would get a coupon!) get my $25 gc, then later this month I am going to transfer my 3 CVS Rx to Rite aid and get my $90 ($30x3+$30 I transferred the other day) in gift cards before the 30th. THEN I am going to transfer the 4 that I will have at Rite aid back to CVS! SO that will make $245 in gift cards! Maybe Harris Teeter will do another gift card promo soon too! And Target does them on occasion too.
