I actually went to 2 other stores, Kohls to return some pants that the buttons just RIPPED off. They have a no hassle returns policy so I got $30 on a gift card for later use. Also went to Petco because I had a $10 off $50 order plus some coupons that would run out in 2 days so I figured I had better use them. I got 1- 12lb bag of Science Diet Naturals, 1-3lb bag of SD naturals and 2 cans of SD food for $30.51. I was buying the catfood at the grocery store but one of the new kittens we got seems to be sensitive to it, and I found that the Naturals seems to work so I am buying it there but NOT using grocery money anymore to buy it.


Last stop was Lowes Foods. I decided I would give them another try. I KNOW I could get overage on the cereal and free candy bars so I tried again...this time it WORKED!!! We did 2 orders since my son was with me.

I also learned today at Petco (when I went to return some catfood that I was overcharged for) that they will price match. The signs in the store say Price Match ADVERTISED prices, BUT the girl told me that it doesn't have to be advertised and they don't even call to check (though they are supposed too). They also have a deal with the rewards card for every 10 bags you buy of the premium brands (as in NOT the kind that can be bought in the grocery store) you get the 11th bag for free (you get a coupon for a free one), kept track by brand. So that is good to know, because my local pet store has cheaper prices BUT they don't seem to be too willing to order the kinds that Petco has (same brands that they already carry but different flavors/types). So that is good to know.

Also yesterday our tv died. So we went to Best Buy and made a deal..Husband told the salesman if you can get it to $1999 we will take it. SO he did! It was on clearance for $2399.99 from $3499.99....SO after the price was agreed upon we went to BiLo and bought 20 $100 gift cards and for every 5 that we purchased we got $25 in BiLo gift cards! So I will get $100 worth of free groceries! And Best Buy rewards is $5 for every $250 you spend..so we will get $40 to spend at Best Buy in a few weeks.

Found a rebate form today! YEAH!!!!
Also got $25 in rebate checks today too along with a free item coupon!

Saturday I had emailed Delmonte about some peaches that I got that were very mushy, which is not normal for the Fruit Naturals (which I have bought HOW MANY OF?) they replied saying they would send me a partial refund! Even if it is some free item Q that will make me just as happy!

Strawberry Festival

What a waste of time that was. They didn't even have FUNNEL CAKES! We were all ticked about that. I guess Lineberger's puts the thing on since they were the ONE vendor selling strawberries, and there wasn't anything else even strawberry themed unless you count the waffles that you could put strawberries on!

The "Army" was there, Fire Department and someone that must have emptied the contents of GRANDMA's house to have a yard sale. There were a few (meaning maybe 3) crafts people there, and I think there were 2 bouncy houses that you had to pay to get into (and be under a certain age too). Started raining just as we were pulling out of the parking lot.

We had gone the year we first moved here and dragged our friends with us. I was embarrassed then dragging our friends to this by the lack of stuff, but this year was even worse!

And maybe I am getting old but the music was WAY Too loud...maybe if they had to cover an entire school parking lot with music I might be able to understand it needing to be loud-but with maybe 20 "vendors" there in their 12x12 spots right next to each other it was just WAY TOO LOUD. But I guess compared to that first year we went, where they had a Teenage band playing where all they did was YELL into the microphones and you couldn't even understand what was being said...this year was better.

The half flat of strawberries was $8.
