I had actually gone to Harris Teeter yesterday to get a few things that were on sale and the coupons were in the paper. I saw they had the Butterball Lil Turkey for $1.29lb and I was going to get it, except the smallest one was over 10lbs and they had ONE. So I didnt bother thinking I would go back today or tomorrow. But when I went to Walmart today I found they had something else that makes my deal even sweeter. Yesterday my son had found some $1/2 Stove top stuffing Wine tags and grabbed me a few....Walmart had them for $.78 each and that coupled with my buy 4 get 1 free AND my $2 off a Butterball turkey IP (the ad was even in the sunday paper telling you to go on the internet to get it!) when you buy 5 stove top and/or Heinz gravy it made it a decent deal. I had to pay $1.29lb for this turkey (Walmarts price was $1.48lb but they price matched), I got $2 off so it ended up costing about $9.43 for this 8.83lb bird. There is only going to be 6 people at my house for this Thanksgiving and aparently if the turkey is smaller than 10lbs they want more per pound-I paid $1.06 per pound after coupon not bad I supposed. Maybe I can find a turkey rebate-the only one I have found so far is one for a WHOLE turkey dinner and I am not buying all my stuff at once it is not worth it.
6 Johnsons buddies $.97 used $1/1 any Johnson item Q
5 Stove top $.78 each used $1/2 WT and one Buy 4 Get 1 Free tearpad coupon (found at Food Lion)
3 Philly cream cheese $1.18 used $1.25/3 Q (found in grocery store on kraft display)
3 Jello Gelatin $.50 used $1.25/3 Q (same as above)
8.83lb turkey at $1.29lb used $2 off wyb 5 Stovetop
1 Ob $6.47 $1/1 coupon
1 White Cloud Green Earth $1/1 found here
1 Tyson Chicken Nuggets made them price match Target price $4.99 used $1/1 coupon
I paid $26.27 which seems high but I did buy some high ticket items I suppose. I have also discovered I have 3 boys that all they want to eat is Meat/Chicken, bread and crackers.
