What no beer aisle?

I have met a new couponing friend, or as I like to think of it a new eager to learn mind. I have been educating her on how to save money. One of the things I am trying to get her into is beer rebates. She like so many others thought "but I don't drink beer" in North Carolina you don't need to puchase the beer (or wine) to qualify for the rebate.

Today I needed to hit up Food Lion for more Lean Cuisines. I decided I would go ahead and go to Stanely to the Food Lion there where there is also a BiLo next door this way I can check to see if they have any beer rebates or wine tags.

I go to Food Lion and walk down almost every aisle looking for coupons and any awesome deals I hadn't seen listed on hotcouponworld.com. I get to the end and see my Lean Cuisines and I pick out 20 to buy. Here is what I got-

20 Lean Cuisine ($1/2Q) on sale 50% off- 1.50-$1.70 each

4 Reese Whips ($1/2) sale Bogo-$.44 each

Total coupons and sales $44.70

Total OOP $21.20

I take my items out to the car and I tell my son we have to go back in I forgot to go down the Beer aisle. We go back inside and make 2 trips around, no beer or wine. I think to myself is this a dry city/county?

We go next door to BiLo, I figure I will look there and see if they have beer/wine. I found some good deals I bought (they double coupons up to $.99)

I went out in to the parking lot and someone asked me a question and I asked her if it was a Dry County or city. She said yes, Stanley is, but the other cities in the county are not. Well now I know, I don't need to search for wine tags or beer rebates in Stanely.
